Trigg County Intermediate School student Dylan Proffitt is currently among regional and national leaders in cross-country motorcycle racing circuits for the 2012 season.

Proffitt, 9, is currently sixth in Grand National Cross Country Racing’s Youth Bike 65 (7-9) class after finishing ninth at River Ranch, Fla., and Morgantown, N.C., and 13th at Washington, Ga. The remainder of the 2012 GNCC Series includes races in South Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Ohio, New York and Tennessee and runs through Nov. 4.
