Graveside services for Jack Goodwin, 84, of Cerulean, were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Cerulean Cemetery in Cerulean. Herman Goodwin officiated. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Goodwin died of natural causes at 1 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at his residence in Cerulean.

He was born on May 10, 1927, in Christian County to the late John Amos and Vera Lee Owens Goodwin.

Jack was a member of Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church and he was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Watt and Roy Goodwin; and two sisters, Sue Holloway and Louise Rogers.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Jewell Goodwin of Cerulean; one brother, Herman Goodwin of Hopkinsville; one sister, Irene Holloway of Hopkinsville; one son, Robert Amos Goodwin of Cerulean; three step-sons, Larry Dale Rogers of Cerulean, Randy Rogers of Cerulean and Jimmy Rogers of Cadiz; eight grandchildren, Brayden Goodwin, Derrick Rogers, Shelbie Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Taylor Rogers, Karigan Rogers, Trevor Rogers and Mackenzie Rogers; two great-grandchildren, Caiden Rogers and Eathan Rogers.

Pallbearers were Kent Goodwin, Lois Trotter, Anthony Jewell, Brad Hale, Richie Jewell and Mickey Rogers.

Music was provided by Janice Goodwin, vocalist.
