Funeral services for Sarah Dunn Meredith, 74, of Cadiz, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Albert Clardy officiated. Burial followed at the Jones Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Meredith died of natural causes at 12:30 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on Jan. 25, 1938, in Roaring Springs to the late Charles and Reba Dunn. Mrs. Meredith retired as a nurse’s aide and sales clerk. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the eagles club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray “Monkeyhead” Meredith; and one daughter, Lennie Pepper.

She is survived by one sister, Linda Loftus of Hopkinsville; three sons, Rory Meredith of Roaring Springs, Johnny Meredith (and wife Kim) of Cadiz and Gary “Corky” Meredith of Cadiz; one son-in-law, Randy Pepper of Cadiz; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Randall Pepper and Billy Wayne Meredith.

Music was provided by the Delmont Baptist Church Choir and Ms. Ruby Hargrove, pianist.
