Funeral services for Carl “Quick Draw” Colley, 65, of Cadiz, were held on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Revs. Norman Cotton and John Mitchell officiated. Burial followed in the Cunningham Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Colley died of natural causes at 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 23, 1946, in Trigg County to the late Lewis Carr and Virginia Lee Malone Colley.

Mr. Colley attended Ponderosa Baptist Church, was a retired logger and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Trigg-Lyon Volunteer Fire Department and the Trigg County Rescue Squad.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John Colley; three sisters, Louise Colley, Laura Belle Wallace and Nancy Turner; and one niece, Regina Wallace.

He is survived by two brothers, George Colley of Cadiz and William “Bill” Colley (and wife Carol) of Cadiz; one sister, Nellie Groves of Paducah; 10 nieces and nephews, Charlotte Nadine Long, Ronnie Wallace, Wesley Wallace, Scotty Gray, Billy Colley, Donna Groves, Steven Turner, Lee Gibbs, Stacy Dillingham and Denise Embry.

Pallbearers were Steven Turner, Scotty Gray, Billy Colley, Ronnie Wallace, William “Pippy” Tyler and Marty Hunter. Honorary pallbearers were the Trigg-Lyon County Fire Department.

Music was provided by Holly Fuller, organist and Ann Schisler and Ben Arnold, vocalists.
