Funeral services for Jewell Davis, 68, of Princeton, were held on Monday, April 16, 2012, at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. The Revs. Jeff Boone and Mike Boyd officiated. Burial followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Morgan’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Jewell Davis died following a long illness at 9:20 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012, at Princeton Health and Rehab Center in Princeton.

He was born on May 24, 1943, in Caldwell County to the late Connie Davis and Fannie Reems Davis.

He attended Fairview Baptist Church and was the co-owner and operator of Davis Greenhouse in Caldwell County.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and two nephews.

Jewell is survived by his wife Anne Franklin Davis of Princeton; three sisters, Shirley Tubbs of Dawson Springs, Sandra Travis of Princeton and Doris Lafan of LaGrange; two sons, Terry Davis (and wife TaJuana ) of Princeton and Chad Davis (and wife Renee) of Caldwell County: three daughters Lee Anne Gilkey (and husband Keith) of Caldwell County, Kim Brown (and husband Stacey) of Caldwell County and Rhonda Jewell (and husband Troy) of Princeton.
