Trigg County High School’s softball team dropped to 2-9 with a 20-6 loss against Logan County on Thursday and a 12-2 loss at Dawson Springs in Monday’s 2nd Region All “A” Classic first round.

Thursday, Trigg put together a six-run third inning to tie the score but couldn’t manage any more runs and allowed 11 Logan County runs in the sixth. Monday, the Lady ‘Cats scored twice in the fifth but couldn’t keep Dawson from crossing the plate.

Trigg senior Brianna Messmer will likely miss the remainder of the season after suffering an ankle injury while sliding into home plate.

Trigg returns to action with four straight 5th District games – Thursday at Crittenden County, Monday at home against Livingston Central and a doubleheader Tuesday at Lyon County.
