Christine Marie died following a long illness at 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on Jan. 5, 1918, in Benwood, W.V., to the late Giusepee Furline and Maria Campana Furline.
Christine was of the Catholic faith and was affiliated with the St. Stephen Catholic Church.
She was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of the United States Army Women’s Auxiliary Corp Veteran having served in World War II. She was recently honored at the Cadiz Veterans Day Parade held in November 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Larkins; three brothers, Michael Campana, Jerrard Campana and Joseph Furline; and three sisters, Anne Cole, Florence Quick and Virginia Lee Furline.
Survivors include two brothers, Albert Furline of Moundsville, W.Va. and John Furline of Bethel Park, Pa.; two sisters, Catherine Pastorius of Glen Dale, W. Va. and Hilda Hungerman of Bethel Park, Pa.; two sons, Larry Larkins (and wife Donna) of Mishawaka, Ind. and Patrick Larkins (and wife Terry) of Roscommon, Mich.; one daughter, Anita Larkins McDonald (and Dan Clemons) of Cadiz; nine grandchildren, Michelle Haracic (and husband Robert) of Clarkston, Mich., Kelly Davis (and husband Brad) of Royal Oak, Mich., Melissa Larkins of Shelby Township, Mich., Lindsey Larkins of Shelby Township, Mich., Valerie Ann McDonald of Chattanooga, Tenn., Robyn Lee McDonald of Clarksville, Tenn., Stephen Paul McDonald of Nashville, Tenn., Carla Witmer of Granger Ind. and Brittny Bloss of South Bend, Ind.; five great-grandchildren, Shawn Davis and Samantha Davis of Royal Oak, Mich., Isabella Haracic and Robert D. Haracic of Clarkston, Mich. and Austin Stephen Witmer of Granger, Ind.
