Mr. Chappell died of natural causes on April 26, 2012, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He was born on Dec. 10, 1950, in Trigg County to the late Leonard Chappell and Mary Sarah Humphries Chappell.
John was employed by McCraw Lumber Co.
He is survived by three brothers, James Chappell of Ratcliff, Charlie Chappell (and wife Lueatrice) of Columbia, S.C. and LeRoy Martin of Cadiz.
