The girls were led by X’Zashea Mayes, who won the triple jump with an effort of 27 feet, and Hannah Futrell, who won the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 51.11 seconds.
Mayes also competed in the 4x200-meter relay, teaming with Monica Jones, Brittany Shafer and Jakashea Martin to finish fourth in 2:01.74.
Other girls results included the following:
– 100-meter dash: Jones, sixth, :14.34; Shafer, eighth, :14.54;
– long jump: Shannon Mack, third, 12-8;
– discus: Samantha Harper, third, 64-3;
– shot put: Harper, third, 24-7.5; Tierson Carneyhan, sixth, 18-7.
Jakelze Martin picked up the only boys win on the day, topping all competitors in the high jump at 5-10; Martin also finished second in the long jump (19-2.5) and triple jump (42-8) and teamed with Deonquez Nance, Devonte Nance and Romaine Cunningham to take third in the 4x200-meter relay (1:36.54).
