Mr. Pancop died following a long illness on Monday, April 30, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
He was born on Dec. 10, 1928, in Kendallville, Ind., to the late Edward Fredrick Pankop and Alma Margaret Hoffman Pankop.
He was of the Lutheran faith and was the co-owner and president of Pankop’s Hardware, Inc., in Kendallville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Dawn Pankop.
He is survived by one brother, Lawrence Pankop of Kendallville, Ind.; one son, Larry Dean Pankop of Kendallville, Ind.; three daughters, Ann Blagdon of Erlanger, Sue Karst of Princeton and Jane Pankop of Kendallville, Ind.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
