Funeral service for Ricky Oliver, 53, of Nebane, N.C., formerly of Trigg County, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2012, after 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Wall Cemetery in Wallonia. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Oliver died following an apparent heart attack at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Guadalajara, Mexico.

He was born on Dec. 20, 1958, in Princeton to Neva Ann Lane and Ernest “Buddy” Oliver, Jr.

Ricky was an engineer for Nypro International.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest “Buddy” Oliver, Jr.; step-mother, Micky Oliver; and one sister, Diana Addison.

He is survived by his mother, Neva Ann Lane of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, David Johnson of Maryland, Jeff Oliver of Cadiz and Reison Gray of Gracey; four sisters, Laveda Love of Hopkinsville, Lou Harper of Hopkinsville, Lisa Calhoun of Cadiz and Alicia Parkhomov of San Angelo, Texas; five sons, Ricky Oliver, Jr. of Chicago, Ill., Dustin Ross of Georgetown, Hunter Neace of Burlington, N.C., Duncan Oliver of Burlington, N.C. and Chance Oliver of Burlington, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
