Funeral services for Willodean “Billy” Teasley Hestand, 87, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Cadiz, were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. The Rev. Roy Marquess, Jr. officiated. Burial followed in the Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation was held on Thursday, May 17, 2012, from 4 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Willodean died following a long illness at 9:20 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012, at her daughter’s home in Hopkinsville.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1924, in Crofton to the late Will Francis Teasley and Margaret Ora Boyd Hamby. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Hestand, Sr. of Hopkinsville; one sister, Betty Weeks of Shadyside, Ohio; four sons, Ronnie Hestand of Dayton, Ohio, William Darrell “Bill” Hestand of Augusta, Ga., Thomas Hestand, Jr. of Cadiz and Donald Gene Hestand of Gracey; two daughters, Sue Stagner of Christian County and Jackie Wilson of Gracey; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
