Funeral services for Winnie Tooke, 103, of Cadiz, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Visitation is scheduled from 3 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at the funeral home. The Revs. Jason Strickland, James Shuck and Don Amis will officiate. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Tooke died of natural causes at 10:28 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.

She was born on May 30, 1908, in Hollis, Okla., to the late Mack Bennett and Doshia Richardson Bennett.

Winnie was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church and attended Cadiz Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Franklin Tooke; one brother, Lowell Bennett; and one sister, Tressie Vance.

She is survived by one daughter, Jo Ann Knout of Cadiz; one granddaughter, Linda Blackwell of Cadiz; four great-grandchildren, Teddy and Anna Blackwell and Kim and Troy Peacher; five great-great-grandchildren, Isabella Peacher, Nick Peacher,

Michael Blackwell, Bobby Blackwell and Sabrina Blackwell; one niece, Lucille Tyler of Cadiz; and three nephews, Gerald Bennett of Houston, Texas, Gene Bennett of Farmington, N.M. and Terry Bennett of Tulsa, Okla.

Pallbearers will be Troy Peacher, Teddy Blackwell, Phillip Miracle, Bill Stallons, William Peacher and Josh Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Tooke and Delano Tooke.
