Martin, who qualified in three events, finished third in the triple jump with a distance of 45 feet, 3 inches. He also finished 12th in the high jump (5-8) and 19th in the long jump (18-7.25).
Martin’s effort in the triple jump earned six points for Trigg, placing the boys team 33rd in the state.
Trigg’s boys also qualified for state in the 4x100-meter relay, in which Deonquez Nance, Jayven Jones, Devonte Nance and Devanie Cunningham finished 13th (45.34 seconds).
Trigg earned no points in girls events. Lanita Hughes, Shannon Mack, Monica Jones and Jakasea Martin teamed to take 16th in the 4x100-meter relay (:53.67) and 20th in the 4x200-meter relay (1:55.48). Valerie Barnes competed in the pole vault: Valerie Barnes, finishing 11th with a height of 7 feet.
