It’s May and the bummer’s are back in case you have not noticed. Yard sales everywhere, which leads me to “Pam’s Pick” of the week.

“I Brake for Yard Sales: and Flea Markets, Thrift Shops, Auctions, and the Occasional Dumpster” by Laura Spencer. You will learn how to make some of the most fabulous things out of yard sale finds.

New Fiction: “The Innocent” by David Baldacci, this is a suspense thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The United States has always had its enemies but these are more ruthless. If the police, the FBI or even the military cannot take care of them. They call in a hit man. One who never misses. But what happens when he hits the wrong target?

“Calico Joe” by John Grisham, this is the story of a father, a son and forgiveness. In the summer of 1973 Joe Castle was Major League baseball’s wonder boy. He was the greatest rookie anyone had ever seen, with home run after home run. But whatever happened to Calico Joe?

“Last Boyfriend” by Nora Roberts, this is the second book in the Boonsboro Trilogy. The Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother are set to open the Inn right on schedule.

“Road to Grave” by Richard Paul Evans, this is the third journal of the Walk series. Life changing events have changed Alan Christoffersen to leave everything he knew behind to set off on an extraordinary cross-country journey.

“Wolf Gift” by Anne Rice, leaving the vampire world behind for a whole new world. A story as old and compelling as history: the making of a werewolf.

New Christian Fiction: “Loving” by Karen Kingsbury, this is book four in the Bailey Flanigan series. Bailey is planning her dream wedding to Brandon in Los Angeles. But doubts are wrecking her plans. Is she making the right choice?

New Non-fiction: “Do Yourself a Favor…FORGIVE” by Joyce Myer, this book will help you learn how to take control of your life through forgiveness.

“Mrs. Kennedy and Me” by Clint Hill, who was the Secret Service Agent assigned to guard the glamorous and intensely private Jacqueline Kennedy.

New Quilt Book: “Memory Quilts” by Sandy Bonsib, this book was donated to the library by the Trigg County Quilters Guild. Thank you for your donation.

New Audio Books: “The Drop” by Michael Connelly, “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” by Mich Albom, “Strawberry Shortcake Murder” by Joanne Fluke, and “The Jungle” by Clive Cussler.

New CDs: “Breaking Dawn Part 1 Soundtrack,” and “Dirty Dancing Soundtrack.”

New DVDs: “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” “Battle: Los Angeles,” “Fever Pitch,” and “Hugo.”

BOOK FAIR: We are having our first Book Fair, June 11 – 15, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. These are all new books just like the book fairs at school. All proceeds will go to the Summer Reading Program.

Sign Language Classes by LeKida Blackmon! LeKida will teach American Sign Language Classes at the library every Monday night in June. June 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. The classes are free and open to all ages. Call the library 522-6301 to sign up. Happy Reading!
