Funeral services for J.W. Curtsinger, 74, of Cadiz, formerly of Mt. Washington, will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Curtsinger died on June 7, 2012, at his home in Cadiz. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired employee of General Electric. He loved fishing, gardening and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents. John, Sr. and Ruby Curtsinger; and one brother, John Curtsinger, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Nena Curtsinger; one brother, Raymond “Buddy” Curtsinger; two sisters, Joann Cull (and husband Bobby) and Billie Jean Cox (and husband Lin); three sons, Gary Porter, Shelby Curtsinger (and wife Lori), James W. Curtsinger (and wife Suzanne) and Jason Curtsinger (and wife Rhonda); two daughters, Karen Curtsinger (and husband Danny) and Kim Young (and husband Bill); granddaughters Kayla, Shelby Lea, Madison, Bailey and Myriah; grandsons Jeremy, Mathew, Austin, Jacob, Alan, Alex, Ethan, Brodie and Dakoda.
