Three Trigg County women to attend Republican National Convention in Tampa

At the Republican Party State Convention on June 9 in Somerset, three members of the Trigg County Republican Party were elected as delegate and alternate delegates to attend the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa in August.

Betty Sue Howard was elected as a delegate. She is the president of the Trigg County Republican Women’s Club and Vice Chairman of the Trigg County Republican Party. Kathy Dietrich and Linda Williams, both members of the TCRWC and TCRP were elected as alternate delegates.

The previous individuals from Trigg County elected as delegates to the National Conventions were Gail Hardy who attended the 2008 Democratic convention and Van Alexander who attended the 1944 Republican convention.
