Memorial services for Samuel K. Tucker, 70, of Cadiz, were held on Monday, June 25, 2012, at Bethel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kenny Rogers officiated. Burial to follow at a later date in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Griffin, Ind. King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Tucker died of natural causes at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

He was born on Aug. 13, 1941, in Olney, Ill., to the late Clyde A. Tucker and Edna Marie Ritchie Tucker.

He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He retired from Sears having worked in the accounting department. He was a United States Army veteran, member of the Trigg County Quilters Guild, American Quilters Society, and a member of the Dulcimer Group.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Allen Tucker.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barb Tucker of Cadiz; two brothers, Walter Tucker (and wife Bessie) of Oklahoma and Ronald Tucker (and wife Susan) of Indiana; one sister, Nancy Tucker of Indiana; one sister-in-law, Linda Tucker of Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Music was provided by Kim Crump, pianist.
