Jocc Ware’s sixth season as a Trigg County High School football assistant coach will also be his first as head coach of the middle school squad.

Ware was hired in 2007 when Shannon Burcham returned as head coach after spending a year at Madisonville-North Hopkins. Ware had been on the middle school coaching staff prior to that and was bumped up to the high school team as a quarterbacks and wide receivers coach. He’ll continue in that role with TCHS while leading the TCMS team.

Ware is a 1993 graduate of Hopkinsville High School, where he was quarterback for the Tigers. He began his college education in Madisonville, seeking a degree in the medical field.

“I always loved the game and wanted to get back around it,” Ware said.

Ware earned a bachelor’s degree from Mid-Continent University in Mayfield and is currently looking into master’s programs with a focus on surgical technology.
