Graveside services for Catherine Rives Redd, 69, of Cadiz, were held on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville. The Rev. Dr. Hilda Bentley officiated. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Catherine Redd died of natural causes at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at St. Thomas Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tenn.

She was born Nov. 4, 1942, in Hopkinsville to the late Charles Louis Rives and Mary Glynn Marquess Rives.

She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and a member of the Middle Tennessee Day Lily Society. Catherine retired as a bookkeeper from Skyline Real Estate & Waldron Contracting.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Billy R. Redd of Cadiz; two sisters-in-law, Jewell Miller (and husband Richard) and Freda McAtee, all of Cadiz; two brothers-in-law, Bernard Redd (and wife Mary Lou) of Brentwood, Tenn. and Vernell Redd of Hastings, Neb.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cadiz United Methodist Church Building Fund, 482 Lakota Drive, Cadiz, KY 42211.
