That is what David Fourqurean, Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources for the University of Kentucky’s Trigg County Cooperative Extension Service, said last week. He also said he expects about 300 people this year, around the same as previous Farm Tours.
This year, the stops will be at the farms of Jimmy Adams, Kevin Alexander and Tommy and Jodi P’Pool. It will start off of Will Jackson Road and will end at Ky. 139 north, said Fourqurean.
“These are mostly smaller farms,” Fourqurean said. “Most of them raise dark tobacco, and we’ll be looking at drip irrigation systems. Most of them raise cattle and have hay crops. We’ll also see a little grain.”
