Those interested have until Wednesday, Aug. 1, to comment on proposed ideas on how to deal with budget reductions at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.

A final draft of the proposed ideas has been published and is available online at http:// www.lbl.org/documents/FINALFeedbackTable2012_0705.pdf.

Jan Bush, LBL media contact, says all of the comments will be part of the official public record, and that they will respond to comments that contain new information.

“Nothing is 100-percent sure yet,” said Bush. “But we haven’t received any new suggestions, and we don’t expect any at this point. It’s just a formality.”

Bush says how long it will take to make a decision depends on the individual suggestions. It may only take a month to investigate the pros and cons of one, while it may take three or four months to investigate another one, and they may try some suggestions for a year just to see if they work, she said.
