If you play the lottery, you might want to read this. I purchased my tickets from one Trigg County convenience store. For a long time, I spent over $20 per week and the manager would ask if I wanted Power Ball and Mega – she knew me that well. I also purchased scratch-offs and gas. I won $150.
When I tried to collect I was told they could only pay $100. I asked, “how can I get my money?” Since I purchased the ticket there, I expected them to pay. They suggested I go to the liquor store or the Tobacco Barn.
The back of the ticket states to collect, present the ticket to an on-line retailer for up to $600. A call to the Lottery Board revealed they cannot enforce the payout. Wonder why?
Another county store paid the ticket. While there, I purchased $50 in gas. The first store lost a good customer.
