Lacey Briscoe has resigned as Trigg County High School’s softball head coach.

Briscoe, who taught at Trigg County Middle School, was hired by the school system in 2010 and was head coach of the softball team for the last two seasons.

She has been hired to teach at Christian County Middle School and will be a co-coach of Christian County High School’s softball team.

Briscoe was hired by former athletic director Jim Perrin, who resigned last year and coached Christian County’s softball team in 2012. Briscoe said Perrin will remain as a co-coach if his health allows.

“I had a good experience at Trigg County,” Briscoe said. “I loved teaching at the middle school, and coaching was a good opportunity for me to get my feet wet. Now, it’s time to better myself and make a move.”
