Katie Scott died on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1980, in Princeton to Terry Cohoon and Layton Woodruff Cohoon.
Katie worked in management of the banking and lending industry and also as a private caregiver. She attended Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Robert “Tobe” Cohoon; maternal grandparents, Aubrey and Ruth Woodruff; one uncle, Nick Woodruff; and one cousin, Lee Bryant.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Scott of Cadiz; her mother Layton Harper (and husband Bobby) of Cadiz; her father, Terry Cohoon (and wife Debbie) of Cadiz; grandparents, Dorothy “Dot” Cohoon of Cadiz and William and Martha Batts of Clinton; two step-brothers, Aaron Harper of New Orleans, La. and Ben Harper of Oakland, Calif.; two step-sisters, Leah Harper of Lafayette, La. and Lori Cortner of Cadiz; and two sons, Cannon and Caden Scott of the home.
Serving as pallbearers were Nicholas Woodruff, Aaron Harper, Aubrey Woodruff, Ben Harper, Rusty Wolfe, Jonathon King, Shane Cohoon and Damon Cortner. Music was provided by Angela Moseley, pianist and Ray Wyatt, vocalist.
