Mr. Hester died of natural causes at 6:16 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Bradford Heights Nursing Home in Hopkinsville.
Richard was born on March 4, 1935, in Trigg County to the late Philmore Hester and Hattie Chambers Hester.
He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Bell Hester of Pembroke; two sons, Robert Douglas Hester and Richard Hester, Jr. both of Hopkinsville; and one grandchild.
