Memorial services for Jeanne Burroughs, 89, of Cadiz, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at 5 p.m., with visitation from 4 – 5 p.m. at Canton Baptist Church. The Revs. Paul Cannon and Damian Phillips will officiate. Burial will follow in the Canton Baptist Church Cemetery. King’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jeanne died of natural causes at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Princeton Health and Rehab in Princeton.

She was born on March 29, 1923, in West Palm Beach, Fla., to the late Ethel Leith Cameron.

She was a member of the Canton Baptist Church and had worked as a nurse’s aide at Trigg County Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Leith Cameron; step-father, George Cameron; and one brother, Glenn Cameron.

Jeanne is survived by one brother, Charles R. “Ray” Ventura, Jr., of Denver, Colo.; one sister Katherine M. Noel of Canton; two sons, Carl L. “Mickey” Burroughs, Jr., (and wife Sharon) of Denver, Colo. and Robert L. Burroughs (and wife Kim) of Honolulu, Hawaii; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Earlena Bayes.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canton Baptist Church Visionary Fund, 423 Boyd’s Landing Road, Cadiz, KY 42211.
