On Thursday, Circuit Judge C.A. Woodall III issued an order that establishes some guidelines for the trial, which will be held in the Circuit Courtroom of the Trigg County Justice Center.
It states that everyone attending the trial will be searched, as will their “coats, briefcases, baggage, and purses or other bags, through a metal detector.” It also bans cell phones and weapons, save for those approved by court security personnel. Food and drink are also banned from the courtroom.
Only the media are allowed video and still cameras or electronic equipment, and they are barred from taking pictures or video of the jury, and they are also not allowed any flashes and aren’t allowed to make a sound. Additionally, media are instructed not to disrupt the trial.
