Funeral services for Shirley P’Poole, 71, of Princeton, were held on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. Bro. Vic Hill officiated. Burial followed in the Blue Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. Morgan’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Shirley died following a long illness at 8:05 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at her home in Princeton.

She was born on Dec. 28, 1940, in Caldwell County to the late Earl Williams and Beulah Mae Butler Williams.

Shirley was retired from Arvin Industries and was a homemaker. She attended Charity Baptist Church in Lyon County.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Maria Holt.

She is survived by her husband, Gayle P’Poole; two sisters, Carolyn Ward and Betty McGillem, both of Princeton; two sons, Tony P’Poole (and wife Kris) of Cadiz and Kevin P’Poole of Cadiz; two daughters, Vanessa Redd (and husband Robin) of Princeton and Lisa Oliver (and husband Jeff) of Hopkinsville; 12 grandchildren, Jillian Redd Slaton and Josey, Jordan Redd and Lauren, Jeffrey Redd, Jimmy Neil Lewis, Mitchell Taylor Morris, Micah Miranda Morris, Matthew Ryan Oliver, Michael P’Poole and Jennifer, Harley P’Poole, Chassity P’Poole, Nicholas P’Poole and Morgan Osborne; and several nieces and nephews.
