Delores died following a short illness at 2:05 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Trigg County Hospital.
She was born on July 6, 1933, in Caldwell County to the late James Herbal Rogers and Mirla Thelma Haile Rogers.
Delores was a member of the Cadiz Christian Church since 1964 where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She was co-owner of Wilkinson’s Department Store and currently co-owner of Mrs. B’s Gifts and Custom Framing where they were still enjoying serving the community. Delores was also a member of the Cadiz Women’s Club, Cadiz Homemakers, a 4-H Leader, Brownie Leader, and Chapter FHA Mother.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James Roderick “Rod” Rogers.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wallace M. Blakeley of Cadiz; one brother, Donnie Herbal Rogers of Hopkinsville; one son, Gary Wallace Blakeley (and wife Stacy) of Cadiz; one daughter, Hope Blakeley Wood of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Amanda Catherin Cook of Cadiz, Stuart Anderson Cook of Bowling Green, Logan Roderick Blakeley of Chattanooga, Tenn., Ashton Marie Blakeley of Ashland City, Tenn. and Madison Michelle Blakely of Cadiz; and four nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Ronnie Blakeley, Bruce Carter, Denny Mize, Mike Rogers, Danny Hooks and Gary Blakeley. Honorary pallbearer was Stuart Anderson Cook.
Music was provided by Laura Grigson, pianist and Danny Dickerson, vocalist.
