The Lady Wildcats split four matches at the tournament, earning 2-0 wins over Reidland (25-19, 25-20) and Union County (27-25, 25-14) while falling 2-1 twice to Livingston, once in pool play (23-25, 25-22, 18-21) and again in the championship (17-25, 25-14, 18-21).
Trigg was led against Reidland by Codie Hill with four aces, Brittney Hallgren with four kills and Laurin Oliver with two blocks. In the first match against Livingston, Emma Tilley had a team-high three aces and 16 assists. Hallgren and Hannah Wright each had four kills, and Wright also recorded a block. Against Union, Wright had five kills, oliver had a block and Hallgren, Tilley, Oliver and Keleigh Mabry each had two aces. And in the championship match, Hill had four kills, Tilley recorded six assists, and Tilley, Hallgren and Mabry each had two aces.
Hill and Hallgren were named to the all-tournament team.
Trigg also notched a 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-16) win Thursday at Webster County. Hill had six aces Hallgren had four kills to lead the Lady ‘Cats.
