Mr. Hook died on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at Caldwell County Medical Center in Princeton.
He was born on Nov. 5, 1923, in Gracey to the late Magnus Hoy Hooks and Bernie McCloud Hooks.
He was a retired construction foreman for Tennessee Valley Authority, a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, a World War II United States Army veteran and a member of the Between The Rivers Preservation Organization Preserving Cemeteries.
He was preceded in death by is wife, Eva Cornelia Hooks; two brothers, Leland “Bill” Hooks and Robert “Sonny” Hooks; and one sister, Flora Ella Wilkerson.
He is survived by one sister, Shelby Throneberry of Terrell, Texas; two sons, Charles C. Hooks of Cadiz and Randy Hooks (and wife Vicki) of Cadiz; three grandchildren, Charley Renee Hooks, Cody Lee Hooks and Brandi Nicole Hooks; and special friend, Gilbert Sherbert of Cadiz.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lacy Wallace, Johnny Boyd, Johnny Ahart, Brian Ahart, Cody Hooks and Bobby Joyce.
