Funeral services for Emma Louise Cavanaugh, 71, of Cadiz, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Second Baptist Church in Cadiz. The Rev. C. R. Terry will officiate. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Cavanaugh died of natural causes at 5:56 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at her home in Cadiz.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1941, in Cadiz to the late Richard L. Cavanaugh and Della M. Wadlington Cavanaugh.

Emma was a member of Second Baptist Church where she was a past choir member, youth director and usher. She worked for 13 years in the culinary department of the Senior Citizens Kitchen.

She is survived by five brothers, Richard Cavanaugh, Roger Cavanaugh and Kenneth Cavanaugh of Cadiz, Chester Cavanaugh and Tony Cavanaugh of Louisville; three sisters, Mary Grubbs, Shirley Hendrix and Crystal Tejada, all of Cadiz, three daughters, Deanna Braxton (and husband David), Latrisha Tyre (and husband Enoch) and Carla Quarles (and husband Edward) all of Cadiz; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
