Frazier, whose career goals mark stood at 124 prior to Tuesday’s match against Hopkinsville (results unavailable at press time), held the previous record of six goals in a game. Thursday, she scored four goals in the first half, clinched the record with her seventh score in the 68th minute and forced the end-of-game mercy rule with her ninth and the team’s 10th goal inside the final two minutes. Frazier also assisted on Trigg’s other goal, scored by Hannah Futrell.
“It’s really exciting,” Frazier said after the game. “I wanted to come out in my senior season and give Trigg County something to remember me by.”
Frazier tore her anterior cruciate ligament in last year’s district championship game, and Trigg head coach Rosebud Pennington said she’s bounced back better than ever.
“She’s recovered very well very fast, and I’m super proud of her,” Pennington said.
