Memorial services for John Steven Britt, 51, of New Albany, Ind., and formerly of Cadiz, were held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz. The Rev. Robert McIntosh officiated. Burial followed in the East End Cemetery in Cadiz. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Britt died of natural causes Saturday, August 25, 2012 in Louisville.

He was born November 11, 1960 in Chicago, Ill. to Sarah Lancaster Britt and the late William Britt.

He was of the Methodist faith and worked as a computer programmer for Humana.

He is survived by his mother, Sarah Lancaster Britt of Cadiz; two brothers, William Earl Britt of Lexington and James Robert Britt of Cadiz; one sister, Sharon Louise Shelton of Cadiz; and one son, Christopher Steven Britt of New Albany, Ind.
