An opening reception beginning at 2 p.m. on that day gave patrons the chance to meet the artist and discuss her work.
Ms. Parent moved to Princeton in 2004, and is very active in the regional art community. Interest in her Cherokee heritage brought her to study the language, which led to its influence on her paintings. The exhibit opened Sept. 2 and runs through Oct. 7.

The Janice Mason Art Museum is open Tuesdays – Saturdays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sundays 1 – 4 p.m. Evening hours can be arranged for group tours at no charge. Admission is free; donations are greatly appreciated.
