Mr. Taylor died on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tenn,
Leon Taylor was born on Oct. 4, 1955, in Cadiz to the late James and Dell Hall Taylor.
Leon was a retired police officer, having served two years as an officer with the Cadiz Police Department, and 33 years with the Metro Nashville Police Department. He was a 1973 graduate of Trigg County High School. Upon graduation, he received and accepted an appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil and Martha Taylor, and Terry and Sara Hall.
He is survived by his wife Glenda McKinzie Taylor of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; one sister, Brenda Scott (and husband Doug) of Cadiz; one brother, Doug Taylor (and wife Beth) of Cadiz; two daughters, Amy Beaven (and husband Craig) of Houston, Texas and Sara Taylor Robertson of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two sons, Chris Taylor (and wife Elizabeth) of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Josh Taylor (and wife Amanda) of Spring Hill, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Evan Robertson, Lily, Thomas, and Aiden Taylor, Charlie Beaven and Lawson Taylor.
Music will be provided by Mallory Taylor, vocalist.
