Thursday, Trigg snapped that streak with a commanding 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-20) win.
Trigg had lost three non-district matches against Livingston earlier in the season, all by 2-1 scores.
“We only had four varsity starters playing in those losses,” Trigg head coach Scott Hill said. “When we had everyone together, it worked out.”
The win gives Trigg a 2-0 record in the 5th District, one game ahead of Crittenden (1-1) and two ahead of the Lady Cardinals (0-2). Trigg will play both teams once more this season.
The win over Livingston was sandwiched between a 3-0 (27-25-25-17, 25-21) win last Tuesday over Hopkinsville and a tight 3-2 (7-25, 25-22, 25-22, 24-26, 15-9) win Monday against University Heights Academy.
