Funeral services for Shanon James Fairle, 20, of Hopkinsville, were held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. Dr. Jerry T. Bacon officiated. Burial was held on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Shanon died on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, in Oak Grove.

He was born on Feb. 29, 1992, in Biloxi, Miss., to John Fairley, Jr. and Shannon Harville.

Shanon was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he participated in the Junior Choir and Male Chorus.

He is survived by his father, John Fairley, Jr. (and wife Elena) of Gulfport, Miss.; his mother, Shannon Harville Motley of Louisville; step-father, Derrick Motley of Hopkinsville; two brothers, John Fairley III of Hopkinsville and Briceton Fairley of Gulfport, Miss.; one sister, Luretha Fairley of Gulfport, Miss.; maternal grandparents, Dorothy Crocker of Cadiz, James Harville of Indianapolis, Ind. and Elizabeth Tyler of Cadiz; paternal grandmother, Sheila Fairley of Gulfport, Miss.
