Funeral services for Brenda Hargrove Bush, 66, of Cadiz, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Visitation is scheduled for after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the funeral home. The Revs. Harold Greenfield, Mike Rust and Joshua Grant will officiate. Burial will follow in the Wall Cemetery in Wallonia. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Brenda Bush died of natural causes at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at her residence.

Brenda was born on April 17, 1946, in Cadiz to the late Hershel and Mary Elizabeth Baker Hargrove.

She was a member of Wallonia Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and worked with the Children’s Bible Drills. She served in many local ministries including the churches outreach at the Trigg County Ham Festival.

She was also the director of WMU for Wallonia Baptist Church and the WMU Leadership with the Little River Baptist Association. Brenda participated in many mission trips, both internationally and within the United States. She retired from Johnson Controls and was a member of Trigg County Quilt Guild and Star Stitchers.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Richard Bush of Cadiz; six sisters, Pat Bush (and husband Lacy) of Princeton, Joyce Schweitzer (and husband Bill) of Grapevine, Texas, Wanda Thomas (and husband Gary) of Cadiz, Zonda Gregory (and husband Jim) of Lock Haven, Pa., Vicky Nelson (and husband Tim) of Pataskala, Ohio and April Washer (and husband Daniel) of Cadiz; two daughters, Tina Loomis (and husband Rodney) of Cadiz and Tonya Allen (and husband Kevin) of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Emaly and Blake Reynolds, Will Allen, Sydney Allen and Tristan Loomis; brothers- in- law and sisters- in- law Don and Rose Bush of Cadiz; Dixie Bush and Mary Bush, both of Princeton, Rebecca “Bec” Sanders of Cadiz and Betty and Dwayne Wyatt of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Hershel and Michael Bush, Ken and Brian Thomas, Joshua Glunt, Donovan Washer and Corey Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Bush, Donald Bush, II, Ronald Bush, Gary and Linda Sanders and Tishie Ingram. Music will be provided by Bonnie Boyd, pianist and the Wallonia Baptist Church Choir. Memorials may be made to Little River Baptist Association, 149 Old Dover Rd., Cadiz, KY 42211.
