Letter to the Editor:

Just to say Thank you;

Saturday evening Sept. 22, my grandson Dupre Rogers was hurt playing little league football at Purdue Field and was taken to Trigg County Hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, I was greeted by a medical staff that assured me he was in good hands and would be fully evaluated. A special thanks to Dr. George Thomas and the emergency room staff.

To those of you who came by the hospital, thanks. There was concern from so many for him that I just want to say thank you. Thank you for the phone calls the words of encouragement. Thank you for caring. Coaches, you are the best! Keep doing for these kids what you do.

Dupre got a good report and all is well. He’s still excited about football. It is my hope we evaluate what happened, make adjustments and continue to reap the benefits of the game.
