Funeral services for Hazel Louise Colson, 82, of Benton, were held on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Collier Funeral Chapel in Benton. The Rev. Don Wilson officiated. Interment followed at Fairdealing Cemetery in Benton. Collier Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Hazel was the daughter of the late Clell Burkeen and the late Cora Nelson Burkeen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Eugene Colson; one son, Geary Colson; and several brothers and sisters.

Hazel Colson is survived by one daughter, Barbara Travis (and husband Gary) of Benton; one daughter-in-law, Jerilyn Colson of Benton; two grandchildren, Stacey Blakeley (and husband Gary) of Cadiz and Wes Colson (and wife Shelly) of Murray; one great-grandchild, Madison Blakeley of Cadiz; and three step-great-grandchildren.
