Bobbie Mitchell died of natural causes at 2:10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
She was born on May 19, 1934, in Lyon County to the late William McKinley and Eula Mae Holmes Faughn.
Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Noble “Buddy” Mitchell; seven brothers, Billie, Jimmie, Gene, Sid, Noble, Earl and Merle Faughn; and three sisters, Barbara Faughn, Sylvia Lane and Edith Hackney.
She is survived by one sister, Margaret Faughn of Madisonville; four daughters, Sandra Kaye Toney (and husband James) of Murray, Rita Phyllis Mitchell (and husband Gary Parrish) of Cadiz, Lana June Mitchell Thompson of Louisville, and Nancy Larisa Mitchell of Nashville, Tenn.; one granddaughter, Jennifer Toney and one grandson, Jacob Toney.
Serving as pallbearers were Tony Mitchell, Stoney Mitchell, Roger Boyd, Charles Litchfield, Loran Champion and Thomas Mitchell.
Music was provided by Missy Fowler, vocalist and Edith Litchfield, pianist.
