June Herrington died following a long illness at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on June 27, 1930, in Fulton to the late Owen and Vivian Marie Binford Lacy.
Mrs. Herrington was a member of Cadiz United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and attended Trigg County Senior Citizens Center.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Morris Lacy; two sisters, Mildred O’Toole and Audrey Strong; and one son, James Stroud.
She is survived by her husband Hank Herrington of N. Charleston, S.C.; two sons, Jerry Stroud of Cadiz and Donnie Stroud (and wife Sara) of Clinton; one daughter, Colleen Billham of Cadiz; one daughter-in-law, Sue Stroud of Chula Vista, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, Leslie Bridges, Keenan Stroud, Heather Shouse, Brandon Stroud, Jessica Boaz, Dana Estes, Darrell Billham, Chelsea Billham, Andrew Stroud, Holly Wilson, Phillip Stroud, Lori Callison and Adam Stroud; 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchilren.
Serving as pallbearers were Phillip Stroud, Adam Stroud, Keenan Stroud, David Paul Bridges, Kevin Estes, Jeff Boaz and Darrell Billham. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Johnson, Gary Thompson, Tommy Cornelius, Nick Watkins, Ricky Hamilton and Kevin Stroud.
