“Our greatest asset is you,” Sparrow said during the 36th Annual Trigg County Country Ham Festival Kick-Off Breakfast. “We’re proud of what you do.”
Sparrow says this is her favorite time of year, and that festivals like the Ham Festival have a way of bringing people together. She added that she knows just how important this festival is to this county.
Since it’s beginning in 1977, the Ham Festival has “grown by leaps and bounds” and keeps getting better every year, and is a great way for locals to show off their wares for tourists and others from all over, said Sparrow.
“Stories like these can be told across the state all fall and all winter,” Sparrow said.
Also on hand Monday morning was Bill Stevens, executive director of the Trigg County Tourist Commission. He introduced Sparrow.
