Mr. Power died of natural causes at 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Thomas was born on Dec. 23, 1932, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to the late Thomas Macle and Agnes Langford Power.
Thomas was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. He retired from Schlumber Oil Co. in Houston, Texas, where he retired as a quality engineer with 40 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran and was a graduate of Texas A&M.
He is survived by his wife, Camile Power of Cadiz; one daughter, Larissa Power of Boston, Mass.; one step-son, Mark Emery (and wife Liz) of Owensboro; one step-daughter, Lisa Futrell (and husband Kevin) of Cadiz; and three grandchildren, Taylor Smith of Cadiz, Paxton Stroud of Lexington and Tanner Emery of Tyler, Texas.
