Memorial services for Hazel Henry Harris, 94, of Cadiz, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz. The Rev. Larry Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow at Trigg Furnace in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Hazel died of natural causes at 12:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz.

She was born Aug. 1, 1918, in Golden Pond to George and Dora Pitts Henry.

Hazel Harris was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and worked with furniture upholstery.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harris; four brothers, Troy, Joe, Hess and Buster Henry; and three sisters, Grace Colson, Gertie Hicks and Bess Mayer.

Hazel is survived by one daughter, Dora Earle (and husband William “Bill”) of Cadiz; and two grandchildren, Thomas Earle (and wife Brenda) of Los Angeles, Calif. and Donna Earle of Cadiz.

Music was provided by Ethelene Jackson, Doris Marie Lipford, Margie Nanney and Paul Henry, vocalists.
