Funeral services for Barbara J. Garner, 77, of Fruitland, Fla., formerly of Trigg County, were held on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Donald Benton officiated. Burial followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

Barbara Garner died following a long illness at 1:23 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Corner Stone Hospice in The Village, Fla.

Barbara was born on June 1, 1935, in Trigg County to the late Roy Futrell and Ruby Oakley Futrell.

She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Leesburg, Fla.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Trigg.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Stanley W. Garner; two brothers, Jon Lee Futrell of Demott, Ind. and Kenneth Futrell of Fairview; one son, Barry Garner (and wife Debbie) of Portage, Ind.; two daughters, Connie Lynn Benton (and husband Don) of Livermore, and Debbie May Worthington (and husband Johnnie) of Valparaiso, Ind.; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
