Trigg head coach Rosebud Pennington said the loss was disappointing because the Lady Wildcats were a better team than the one that lost 11-1 to Hoptown on Aug. 28.
"Since we played them the last time, we improved greatly," Pennington said. "We started playing as a team, and I really thought we'd step up and want it a little more. Hoptown's a good team."
Overall, Pennington said it was a solid season and a good way to begin her head coaching career.
"I'm very proud of the season we had," Pennington said. "The younger girls that stepped up this season, I could not have asked for more."
Trigg's group of seniors, including Danielle Adams, Victoria Bryant, Christy Bollinger and Courtney Ellebruch – was led by Lauren Frazier, Trigg's all-time goal scoring leader.
