Funeral services for Leavell Cheatham, 80, of Cadiz, were held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Holiness Church of Deliverance. Burial followed in Trigg Memory Acres. Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Leavell Cheatham died of natural causes at 11:50 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at his home.

He was born on April 16, 1932, in Trigg County to the late Willie Cheatham and Helen Thacker Cheatham.

Leavell was a member of Holiness Church of Deliverance and was retired from the Trigg County Road Department.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret McGee Cheatham of Cadiz; one brother, Billy Ray Cheatham of Hopkinsville; seven sisters, Hattie McKee, Rachel Sellers, Jerlene Cheatham, Gloria Leavell and Helen Maude Dailey all of Hopkinsville, Willow Trice of Chicago, Ill. and Jane Ann Mencer of Detroit, Mich.; four daughters, Kay Hooks of Hopkinsville, Relissa Torian (and husband Anderson) of Cadiz, Laura Wadlington (and husband Robert) of Cadiz and Leslie Avery of Las Vegas, Nev.; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
